Engineering Leadership

I’ve been developing software and leading engineering teams for 10 years. Currently at WillowTree, where we focus on continuous deployment, constant iteration, and finding balance between delivering quality software and living a quality life.

I’m also a United States Air Force veteran, where I led a team in maintaining F-15E aircraft through thick and thin.

Community Engagement

I am currently serving as the Board Chair of the Durham Art Guild, a non-profit focused on enriching our community by creating opportunities for local artists, including exhibitions, residency programs, mentorship, and public and private installations within the community.

I have proudly served on the board for over 6 years.

Career Highlights

  • Built Hodor Keyboard on Android. This single button keyboard was featured on The Verge, Engadget, and just about every tech blog. For some reason. The Verge article is still my favorite blog article I have ever read in my life.
  • Started iamandroid.com, a social network for Android folks, before Google+ swooped in and stopped my global domination. It was a great place to connect with fellow Android fans, developers, and community leaders.
  • Shipped 60+ projects with WillowTree, including responsive web, Android and iOS apps, backend, infrastructure projects, and full digital transformation projects focusing on massive organizational change.
